The Association of
Retired Senior Indian Police Service Officers (ARSIPSO) was formed in the year
2000. It is a body of India’s top retired IPS officers with eligibility for
membership being limited to those having held the rank of an Inspector General
of Police and above. On date, ARSIPSO has 77 members incorporating a wide
range of experience in several fields of governance. Besides heading the
Police at State and Central levels, several members have held position of
Governors, Ambassadors, Heads of Public & Private Sector Organisations and
are associated with leading academic institutions. Authors, academics and
writers, some members are actively involved in national think tanks making a
valuable contribution to the issues confronting the nation.
